Unmarked / Unscene
- #AUTOMOTIVE
I've been slowly working through images captured at Unmarked Vol III; the show by Snowfoam at The Venue in Alexandria on Saturday 10th August. I'm now down to 230-250 images to decide on for the final album publish, but I thought this would be a good thing to do before that time comes - publish a select group of my favoured images from the event, along with some stories.
The show 'officially' kicked off at 3pm, with the unfurling of the Unmarked Banner from the carpark roof.
This comes with it's own challenges. This year it took 3 tries to get it to flow down properly without catching on anything.
But once it was in place, it made its mark.
We had to take advantage of the view and perfectly positioned Lexus whilst we were up here.
Upon making my way down into the three halls of The Venue, I was met with this lovely view
Throw back to earlier this year in May, at a little cafe in the Hills District called Benzin where we held a couple of Family Nights with Chef Bardan cooking up a storm.
KC and Mark came and asked me for my opinion on what makes a car show good for a photographer. I struggled to answer that, because I feel like I shoot events pretty differently to most other photographers going around these days. The reason for the question though, was a great ideal to carry:
"To build a photographers playground; a place for them to play and create great content."
I think you'll agree that they have done a pretty good job!!!
These were all in the main hall; dimmed lights and moving lights that shifted colours.
When the lighting aligned with the crowds meandering through, we managed to grab a shot like this, highlighting a great variety of colours. Taste The Rainbow!!!!
Plenty a photographers/videographers around the whole show too!!!
I'm so out of touch that I probably only know 2% of them too....
With sunset smack bang in the middle of the show, it would have been criminal to not venture outside and check out what was lurking in the spectator carpark, and boy were we rewarded with some phenomenal light showcasing some gorgeous machines.
All in all, the place was full of love and smiles
With some familiar faces floating through the crowds
And really great to see plenty of families coming through
The devil is definitely in the details when it comes to car modification & styling
Don't think I've seen a live car painting at a show before. Tick that one off the list!
Tofu Anyone??
Can you count 2 Five??
The heart of a beast!!!
And of course, what modern day car show doesn't have awards??
Headline sponsor SONDR & Mr Snowfoam himself!!!
The LTO Red Devil; ready to rumble
There we go, some of my favourite images #SNIPED at Unmarked Vol III. Watch out for the full album on my SAM LAW Facebook!!
